Sergt. Sutherland left a wife and two children, living at Caberfeidh House, Ullapool.

 

Enlisted in the 4th Seaforths Oct. 1902.
Appointed Instructor of the Ullapool Coy. 4th Seaforth Highlanders 1911.
Mobilized 4th Aug. 1914.
Proceeded to France 5th Nov. 1914.
Was three times wounded Mar. 1916.
Feb. 1918
July. 1918.
Drowned while coming home in the Hospital Ship H.M.A.T. Warilda 3rd Aug. 1918.
