Aged 27

 

Son of Mr. Norman Maclean, Camuscoille, Achiltibuie.

 

Joined the 4th Seaforths July, 1916.
Killed in action in France 17th May, 1917.

 

Had three brothers serving -

  • Donald Maclean, R.N.R.
  • John Maclean, R.N.R.
  • Murdo Maclean, R.N.R. Lost while patrolling off the Coast of England, Nov. 1917.

Pte. Norman MacLean, 4th Seaforths & Gunner Murdo MacLean RNR (brothers ) were my late husband Finlay Forsyths' maternal uncles, they were also uncles to Ali" Beg" MacLeod, Achiltibuie &therefor great uncles of Duncan MacLeod the ambulance driver
