7th Bn. The Seaforth Highlanders.

Aged 25

 

Son of Mr. John Mackenzie, and grandson of the late Mr. Kenneth Mackenzie, Missionary, whose family for many generations had lived at Leckmelm.

 

Profession. - An Insurance Broker.

 

Joined the 1st Bn. London Scottish 1910
Proceeded to France Sept. 1914.
Invalided home, suffering from Trench Feet Dec. 1914.
Gazetted Lieut. 7th Bn. Seaforths -
Returned to France 28th Sept. 1915.
Attached to M.G.C. -
Killed in action at Delville Wood 14th July. 1916.
Buried in an Orchard.
